FAQ
Do you only see females?
I support inclusion and diversity and see consultations as an opportunity for a client and therapist to decide collaboratively if they are a good fit, regardless of a person's gender identity. However, I specialize in cisgender females who identify as she/her/hers.
Do you take insurance?
Currently, I do not accept insurance. A client can pay with HSA, credit card, cash, or I can provide a superbill for out of network coverage through your insurance.
What is a supervised practice? *
Pursuant to A.A.C. R4-6-211, a master’s level, non-independent licensee may provide behavioral health services in a practice that they own or manage under board-approved clinical supervision.
What's the difference between therapy and coaching sessions?
Therapy focuses on mental health, emotional healing, overall wellness, building motivation, and setting and achieving goals. Life/wellness coaches typically focus on the motivational piece along with setting and achieving goals. Therapists are qualified to treat mental health conditions and diagnose, whereas life/wellness coaches are not. The field of life/wellness coaches is not regulated by a Board; however, therapists undergo specific schooling, training, and state exams to become licensed and are overseen by a Board.
What if I want to talk to you between sessions?
Phone coaching is available for purchase in 15 minute increments.
Can you help with other goals not mental health related?
Yes! I am here to support you in any way I can that is within my scope of practice. I will be happy to share referrals or help you find resources within the community if needed.
